I am a 30 something single mother of a 16 year old girl.
This is a communication platform for my family and friends.
I wanted a way to share what is going on with us with my family and friends and thought that this is the best way.
My last adventure took us to Sohar, Oman. We spent around 2 years here. This was during the COVID pandemic so our experience was not what it should have been. It was difficult to get past the troubles that happened so I decided we should move on.
We are now in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We are having a great time while still adjusting to the new surroundings. My work is great and Julia is happy with her schooling. We will be here for a few years and are looking forward to what Southeast Asia has to offer.
I believe food is a cultural experience.
I wanted to share my recipes because I enjoy cooking and eating. I also think that food brings people together. Food is a great way to get to know someone else’s culture.
I will also be sharing places that I have eaten at that I would recommend. The trouble with this is that, in Phnom Penh, businesses change very fast.
My personal health is a big part of my journey.
I have spent many years doing damage to myself, never thinking about my personal health and how it affects my life. I have been changing that more in these last few years and want to share what I have learned.
This is something that has become a focus for me from all the issues that the COVID pandemic brought up. I am currently seeing a therapist and a physiotherapist and am trying to be more active. My work has helped me to add to my activity because we play football (soccer) every Friday and Volleyball every Wednesday.
This adventure is ever changing and never ending.
The human species is so fascinating to me. I am always trying learn about how I fit into society and how I can better myself.
